Usage of expired gas masks could be dangerous !
It has come to
our attention that old, out-of-date respirator systems (gas masks
& filter canisters) produced by our company are being marketed and offered
for sale through various marketing channels. Use of these products may be dangerous and could result in serious injury or death. Whether these products are
marketed as new, "new in box" or surplus, we wish to clarify that
they were not purchased directly from our company and are to the best of our
knowledge obsolete, expired,well past their end-of-service life and unfit for use.The user of these
products does so at his own risk and assumes all responsibility for possible respiratory damage or death. Accordingly, Shalon Chemical
Industries shall not be liable or responsible for any loss, damage, or
liability, direct, incidental, special or consequential, arising out of the
sale, or use of these products. As an aid to determine the age of the mask,
please note that for several years all our NBC masks are boldly marked in the
front lower side of the facepiece (right side when the mask is worn), with the
last two digits of the year of manufacture.
